Fees

The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) sets dental treatment rates nationally. At Tandzorg Kralingen, you always pay a fixed rate for treatment. Please note that not all treatments are covered by basic insurance. Often, you will need supplementary insurance to be eligible for reimbursement. Treatments for children up to the age of eighteen are often covered by basic insurance.

We therefore advise you to check the terms and conditions of your health insurance policy before receiving treatment, to avoid any unexpected costs afterwards. If you have any further questions about our rates or would like a cost estimate, please contact us.

Rates and cost estimates

Treatments are carried out in consultation with you. If the expected costs exceed £250, we will provide you with a cost estimate to give you an idea of the costs involved. You can find the rates for 2025 on the KNMT website.

Dentist insurance

If you only have basic insurance, it is advisable to take out additional insurance to cover dental care. Many insurers offer dental care insurance. For more information about insurance and the differences in coverage, please visit Allesoverhetgebit.nl.

Invoicing of the dental bill

A dentist’s bill consists of the various services performed during a patient’s treatment. Each service is listed on the bill with a code, and each code is linked to a rate. While the rates are set nationally by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa), the costs of materials and/or techniques may vary from one dental practice to another.
